 apple iphone 13 review

Super slim screen, better cameras with 3x optical zoom, good battery and speed make it hard to beat. The iPhone 13 Pro is a solid upgrade from last year's model with a faster and slimmer screen, better than 3x optical zoom camera, longer battery life, and an Apple's latest Pro smartphone costs £ 949 ($ 799 / $ 1,349), which is £ 50 cheaper is than its predecessor but still near the top of the market. Between the standard iPhone 13 and the £ 1,049 iPhone 13 Pro Max, The 13 Pro has the same luxurious-looking glass and stainless steel sandwich design as last year, but the camera bumps on the back are significantly larger and the screen is brighter with it a smaller face detection notch.

It runs with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, twice as high as the normal iPhone 13, and makes scrolling and other movements on the screen much smoother and can therefore keep up with the best from Samsung. 7 and a feature of the best Android phones since the 2019 OnePlus 7 Pro. As with previous Sharp Retina displays, the fastest displays are like a ratchet - once you use one, it's very hard to go back.

Rapid performance and good battery life

The iPhone 13 Pro features Apple's latest A15 Bionic processor with a five-core graphics chip, making it one of the most powerful phones you can buy. It keeps up with the slick Android competitors. The battery life is good despite the new display. The phone lasts about 42 hours between charges, with the screen being used for about six hours during that time, which is longer than most similar-sized competitors but slightly shorter than the regular iPhone 13. The phone needs to be used with normal use charged every two nights.

 Sustainability

Apple doesn't specify expected battery life for the iPhone 13 Pro, but it can be replaced for £ 69. Batteries in similar devices generally retain at least 80% of their original capacity after 500 full charges - £ 526.44 Warranty Service, including screen. The phone received five out of 10 for repairs by the specialized website iFixit. The IPhone 13 Pro uses 98% recycled rare earth metals, 99% recycled tungsten and 35% recycled plastic in various components, as well as 100% recycled tin in the solder of the motherboard and battery management unit. The company breaks down the phone's environmental impact in its report. Apple also offers free recycling and trade-in programs, even for non-Apple products.

iOS 15

The iPhone 13 Pro comes with iOS 15, which runs on all Apple smartphones from the iPhone 6S 2015. Apple has been offering software updates for its smartphones for longer than any other manufacturer. You can expect software and security updates to last at least five years, but possibly up to seven years.

 Camera

On the back there are three improved 12-megapixel cameras - a primary, an ultra-wide-angle and a telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom - a first for an iPhone. All three cameras are some of the best you can find on a phone. they are much faster and more sensitive to light than the previous models. The dedicated night mode is needed much less and faster by the main camera in darker scenes, and the photos are sharper and less prone to handshakes, especially on the ultra-wide camera. HDR recordings have also been improved. The 3x telephoto lens brings you closer to the action than the previous 2x enlargement of the cameras, but it lags far behind the 5x and 10x optical zoom competitors like the Galaxy S21 Ultra.

The best telephoto shots in a variety of light levels, even with the dedicated night mode. The 13 Pro finally also has a dedicated Macro Photography mode that uses the ultra-wide camera to take some sharp, detailed photos as I'm only 2 inches close to the subject, which only rivals the best from Samsung Being able to selfies is good in bright light, but can have problems with sharpness and detail in lower light unless you are very calm. The best you can get out of a phone and the new "Cinematic Mode" which simulates an advanced cinematic technique called "Rack Focus" is fun.

 Observations

The quality of the call was excellent. The 13 Pro weighs 204 g, 17 g heavier than its predecessor and 30 g heavier than the iPhone 13, but its narrow width still makes it easy to use.

 Price

The iPhone 13 Pro costs £ 949 ($ 999 / A $ 1,699) with 128GB of storage, £ 1,049 ($ 1,099 / A $ 1,869) for 256GB, £ 1,249 ($ 1,299 / A $ 2,219) for 512GB, or £ 1,449 ($ 1,499 / A $ 2,569) for 1 TB

For comparison: iPhone 13 costs € 779, iPhone 13 Pro Max costs € 1,049, Samsung Galaxy S21 + € 949, Galaxy S21 Ultra € 1,149, OnePlus 9 Pro It costs € 829 and that Galaxy Z Flip 3 costs £ 949.

 Verdict

Last year's iPhone 12 Pro didn't offer enough to be worth the extra money over the excellent iPhone 12, but Apple has significantly spiced up the iPhone 13 Pro to the level of the best Android phones 3x optical zoom, better low-light Shots and additional macro shots. Combined with good battery life and superior performance, no one makes a better phone of modest size. Plus, Apple will support you with more software updates, making it a sustainable purchase. It's still an expensive and luxurious phone that is quite heavy, but not at the top like its flexible-screen competitors. The iPhone 13 Pro is the best from Apple. Not only is it the “smallest” phone of this year, it's one of the most iconic phones of 2021.
